UK CAA Operator ID
The 'Operator' is the person who is responsible for a drone or model aircraft.
This means they are responsible for the following:
Looking after the drone and keeping it safe to fly.
Ensuring that anyone that flies the drone has a 'Flyer ID'.
This usually means the 'Operator' is the person or organisation that owns the drone, but they don't have to be.
You MUST be a minimum of 18 years old to register as an 'Operator', so if you are under 18 years old and own a drone, you must ask a parent or guardian to register on your behalf. You can still fly under the age of 18 as long as you have a 'Flyer ID'.
An 'Operator ID' needs renewing every 12 months to keep flying.

THE 'OPERATOR' MUST...
Be over 18 years old.
Make sure that only people with a valid 'Flyer ID' use their drone or model aircraft if it is over 100g.
Label their drones and model aircraft with their 'Operator ID'. (You can use the same Operator ID for all your drones and model aicraft that you are responsible for)
YOUR LABEL MUST BE...
Visible from the outside, or within a compartment that can easily be accessed without using a tool.
Clear and in block capitals taller than 3mm.
Secure and safe from damage.
On the main body of the aircraft.
